Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to the products provided by WorkSafe Mapping, LLC. ("we”, “us”, or “Company") and our website, mobile app, or other platform (collectively, the "Product"). This Policy explains what information we collect from users of our Product (a "user", "you", or "your"), including information that may be used to personally identify you (“Personal Information”), and how we use it. This Policy applies to any visitor or user of our Product. We will be the controller of your personal data provided to, or collected by or for, or processed in connection with, our Product.

We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes to this Policy by sending notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by a general notice on our website. Significant changes will go into effect thirty (30) days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check our website for updates. Your continued use of our Product after we publish or send a notice about our changes to this Policy means that the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information is subject to the updated Policy.

What Information Do We Collect?

We will only collect and process Personal Information about you where we have lawful bases, such as consent, performance of a contract (e.g., to deliver the Product you have requested), and our "legitimate interests."

Specifically, we collect the following:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, profession, and profile picture.
  • Device & Connection Information: Your internet protocol address (IP address) and, if you access the Product from a mobile application, your unique mobile device ID.
  • Location Data: To provide core mapping and safety features, we collect precise location data from your device.
    • Foreground Location: We collect your location while you are actively using the application to provide real-time mapping and guidance.
    • Background Location: When enabled, we collect location data in the background to ensure the continuity of mapping and safety monitoring features even when you are not actively interacting with the app.
  • Usage Data: Browser and device information, and information regarding how you use the Product, collected through technologies such as cookies.
  • Communications: Information you voluntarily submit to us, including survey responses and correspondence.

How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver, maintain, and improve the Product and your overall user experience.
  • Provide mapping, routing, and safety-related location services.
  • Protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
  • Verify information for accuracy and update our records.
  • Contact you with necessary information, service updates, and administrative messages.
  • Respond to your comments and questions and provide customer support.
  • Analyze how you use the Product (e.g., using analytics tools) to understand traffic patterns and troubleshoot technical issues.

Do We Share Your Personal Information?

We do not rent, sell, or share your Personal Information with non-affiliated third parties except with your consent or as necessary to provide the service you have requested. We may provide limited access to your information to the following:

  • Partners: We may collaborate with other organizations to deliver the Product. In these cases, we may share your name and contact information if required to facilitate the service.
  • Service Providers: We work with third-party providers, such as database administrators, cloud computing services, data analysts, and application service providers, to help us operate the Product. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

How Do We Use Tracking Technologies?

How Do We Secure Your Personal Information?

We take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction. While we implement security measures like encryption and firewalls, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account details and password confidential.

We retain your personal data while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you with the Product. We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Your Choices Regarding Information

Changing or Deleting Your Personal Data: You may review, update, or delete your Personal Information by contacting us at support@worksafemaps.com or by accessing your user account settings. If you permanently delete all Personal Information, your account may be deactivated.

Download or Access Personal Information: You can request a copy of your Personal Information in a machine-readable format by emailing us at support@worksafemaps.com.

Opting Out: If you wish to stop receiving promotional communications, you may follow the "Unsubscribe" instructions in those messages or contact us at support@worksafemaps.com. Please note that we may still send service-related communications.

Children Under 16

The Product is not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of sixteen (16). If you believe we have unknowingly collected such information, please contact us at support@worksafemaps.com for immediate deletion.
